SFC Energy AG (F3C:DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading provider of hybrid power solutions to the stationary and mobile power generation markets, has received a new follow-up order from an existing Asian defense customer. The follow-up order has a value of approx. €1.4 million.

SFC Energy’s JENNY 600S and EMILY 3000 fuel cells and the SFC Power Manager 3G are used to reliably power off-grid border protection equipment, electrical equipment, and mission-critical communication and radio systems, some of which are operated at very remote outposts and on high mountain altitudes.

The fuel cells feature key logistics and operation benefits to the customer’ applications. As many of the customer’s off-grid sites are situated in difficult to access areas, often on very high mountain altitudes, easier fuel logistics are a decisive benefit. In addition, SFC Energy’s tempered DMFC fuel cell products are extremely robust, easy to use, and maintenance free. They feature long life and 100% reliability even in very harsh climatic conditions.

The EMILY 3000 fuel cell is a silent, environmentally friendly mobile energy source for electrical devices in command and multipurpose vehicles, and for fielded and stationary power in field outposts. In combination with the SFC Power Manager 3G, the man-portable JENNY 600S fuel cell supplies parallel power to different voltage devices and recharges batteries at the same time.

"This repeat business is proof for the excellent long-term sustainability and reliability of our products in demanding defense and security scenarios", says Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy. "It also reflects the successful internationalization of SFC`s Defense business."

Numerous international NATO and PfP defense organizations use SFC Energy fuel cell products. SFC fuel cell and accessory products carry a NATO stock number and are approved for air transport according to UN3473.
