International cybersecurity and medical imaging IT company Sectra (STO: SECT B) has received orders from EU organizations, including three new EU member states. The orders include units of Sectra’s approved high-assurance mobile encryption system and extensions of current support contracts for the same system. The solution ensures that users are able to securely and efficiently communicate classified information—information that could, if it were to fall into the wrong hands, severely damage the security of those organizations.
“We are looking forward to continuing to support EU organizations in protecting their information exchange. This once again confirms that Sectra has been entrusted to provide high-assurance encryption systems for various EU organizations, member states, and similar multilateral organizations,” says Magnus Skogberg, President of Sectra Communications.
Sectra’s solution is a quantum-resilient mobile communication solution approved by national security authorities, the EU and NATO. It allows the user to share classified information through encrypted speech, messaging and data transfer. The solution offers high availability as it can utilize a variety of IP networks, such as satellite, fixed and mobile networks, for all types of communication.
The contracts for Sectra’s mobile encryption system and extended support were signed in the third quarter of Sectra’s 2023/2024 fiscal year.
