iDirect Government Technologies (iGT) has introduced the e150 Integrated Router Board, a new satellite router designed to meet the US Department of Defense (DoD) Satellite Communications (Satcom) requirements for remote sensor monitoring.

Developed for sensor applications, the e150remote supports broadcast standard DVB-S2/ACM and time division multiple access (TDMA), basic routing, virtual local area network functionality, and quality of service (QoS).

Additional features include spread spectrum that enables the use of very small antennas, and transmit keyline for lower power consumption and improved battery power life.

iGT vice-president of technology Karl Fuchs said: "The e150 was developed specifically to suit unique military applications and provide our DoD customers with TDMA, QoS and other bandwidth- and power-efficient features to support their overall missions."

The Integrated Router Board comes in a small form factor that enables smaller terminal design and low weight for maximum portability.
