The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX), in collaboration with the General Command of the Armed Forces and in coordination with the Supreme Committee for IDEX and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition (ADNEC), has announced the Future Defence Summit.

The three-day event, which begins on 21 February 2015 and will run alongside IDEX 2015, enables attendees to establish and strengthen relationships with government departments, businesses and armed forces throughout the region, and listen to key influencers speak on hot topics currently affecting the industry.

"IDEX is always in search of the best global partners to provide the best experience for exhibitors and attendees − the Future Defence Summit is the ideal platform for this endeavour," Saleh Al Marzooqi, CEO of IDEX said. "Since its inception, IDEX has shown unrivalled growth in both the number of exhibitors and the number of attendees. To keep pace with its development, and in our endeavour to provide a bigger, better show, we seek to hold new agreements worthy of the next phase of the remarkable development of the show."

The Future Defence Summit will feature dignitaries, key decision-makers from defence ministries and chiefs of staff from all over the world. The summit will also attract major companies and institutions involved in defence. IDEX 2015 and the Future Defence Summit will push the continued growth of the defence industry not only in the UAE, but globally.

IDEX 2015 will take place on 22−26 February, while the Future Defence Summit will begin one day prior to that on 21 February and run for three days during IDEX. To see the full programme, visit www.futuredefencesummit.ae.
