Armag Corporation began manufacturing Type 2 explosives storage magazines in 1969. In 1980 the US Navy sought our assistance in developing the US military Type 2 explosives magazine specifications. Shortly thereafter we jointly developed the first relocate-able weapons storage armory. We have delivered several thousand armories and magazines commercially and to US military installations throughout the world. In the early 1990's Armag was again selected by the US Navy to develop a reduced quantity-distance arc magazine for the storage of Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) explosives. These magazines are approved by the Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board with a 10-foot quantity distance arc. These magazines can be placed near buildings and other magazines, and are preferred by EOD teams who need ready access to explosives. Armag continues to work closely with the US military and has extensive
experience in customizing products for all environments. |
