US Army tests electronic warfare vehicle

22 February 2019

The United States’ most up-to-date Electronic Warfare Tactical Vehicle (EWTV) underwent a month-long testing process at the National Training Centre in Fort Irwin, California, in early 2019. The training exercise focused on electronic attack and electronic support operations: restricting communications to the enemy as well as detecting enemy communications.

"Initially the battalions were a little skeptical of the system. Not only was it an asset they had to provide forces to help protect, but it's a pretty big vehicle as well," said EWTV operator Staff Sergeant Darron McCracken. "But once they saw what it could do and they benefited from its effects, they recognised the benefits of the system."
