Tampa Yacht Manufacturing testing 50ft fast attack craft

The seasoned advanced composites builders at Tampa Yacht Manufacturing / Tampa Defence UK, are in the midst of sea trialing their prototype 50 Force Protection Craft / Fast Attack Craft. Housing 16 or more troops for over horizon deployments, incorporating forward cockpit with bow door, and low profile aft deck to facilitate personnel and equipment insertion and extraction, and three weapons mounts including roof mounted ROSAM-HMG; their offering is ballistically protected and built to IACS class standards for coastal regions. Engineered features include shipboard and aerial transport, shallow water and beaching operations and high speed close quarters maneuvering at speeds exceeding 40 knots.

Tampa Yacht Manufacturing, LLC, in Pinellas Park, Florida has been building special purpose advanced composite fiberglass patrol and rescue boats from 27 to 53 feet in length since incorporation in 2006. Its workforce of 50 includes many skilled craftsmen employed in the Florida Yachtbuilding Industry for over 20 years. A highly integrated company, Tampa Yacht fabricates all of its own metal and composite work, and mechanical and electrical subassemblies to American Boat and Yacht Council Recommended Practices and to International Association of Classification Society Standards. The company is also an ISO 9001/2008 Certified facility.

In the past, the company has delivered 44 foot high speed Search and Rescue craft to China and 35 foot waterjet propelled Patrol Craft to the Indian Army. They are also in the process of two other contracts with the Indian Navy and the Ministry of Home Affair's Border Security Force.
