Navigation simulators and naval training

The Navi-trainer Professional 4000 (NTPRO 4000) navigational simulator enables simulator training and certification of watch officers, chief officers, captains and pilots serving on ships with gross tonnage of 500t or more. This complies with requirements of the IMO STCW 78/95 convention and model courses 7.01 and 7.03, as well as specific tasks beyond convention. The simulator complies with Class A, (B and C) NAV as per Det Norske Veritas classification. Transas navigational simulators allow training in:

  • fleet formation management
  • underway replenishment
  • lifeboat operations
  • deck helicopter operations.

Transas simulators use the Navi-sailor 3000 electronic chart system, the first to have been adapted to naval needs. Navies of different countries use Navi-sailor onboard, so trainees get used to the system they will be working with in the near future. In this way, Transas offers a complex solution.
